Tony Relys

Tony is an experienced litigator. He has briefed and argued appeals to the Missouri courts of appeal and the Eighth Circuit, and he has tried numerous claims to verdict before juries in both state and federal court, including cases involving civil rights and employment. Before joining TGH, Tony spent nine years in government service, serving both as an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri Attorney General's Office and as an Associate City Counselor for the City of St. Louis. Tony represented the government both as a plaintiff and on behalf of defendants. He has defended claims of official misconduct, and, as a Team Leader in the Consumer Protection Section of the AGO, has prosecuted consumer fraud actions on behalf of the people of the State of Missouri, including the State’s claims alleging false marketing against various opioid manufacturers.

Prior to his government service, Tony worked in private practice, including at a large law firm in Chicago, where he represented and advised clients in business and other types of litigation.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Tony lives with his wife and daughter in the City of St. Louis. When not working, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.
